Argo
Argo Feeds is established as one of the largest family owned Manufacturers
and Distributors of Animal Feeds in the North of England.
Argo are a main distributor for most of the leading brands of animal feeds,
both national and international, such as Dengie,
Spillers/Effam, Dodson & Horrell, Baileys, Top Spec, Red Mills, Allen
& Page and Blue Chip plus many
more. All are available for prompt delivery from stock, or can be collected
by customers.
The drug free mill at Penistone, South Yorkshire produces high quality
animal feed for Argo’s own brand, and has done since the Goldthorpe
family began here in 1939. Argo is steeped in history, and the original
core beliefs have travelled though the generations, and are still very
much alive today. Production from the mill, is still only from the highest
quality, natural products which are free from growth promoters, artificial
colorants and medicinal additives. Today the mill produces many 1000’s
of tonnes each year, which in today’s economic climate is a tribute
to the team who allows Argo’s mill to be the backbone of the business
today. The long standing traditional production methods, blended with
modern manufacturing techniques has enabled Argo to be UFAS registered.
